Music!
On this page you'll find all of my music that exists on the internet.
As always... there's more to come!
To the Muses won first prize at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music's 16th Biennial Choral Competition! The piece sets William Blake's poem, in which he curses the 9 muses for betraying him and leaving him uninspired. A huge thank you to San Francisco Choral Artists for their beautiful performance!
Her Eyes is a musical theater ballad from a project I am currently working on. The song is sung at the beginning of the plot, and the character is enamored with the eyes of who he has fallen in love with. Throughout the show, the song serves as a symbol for, ironically, what the characters are too blind to see. A huge shout out to the ensemble that helped me bring this song to life, this couldn't have been done without them!
Control is a high powered track on Lake 22's self-titled album. The blaring horns boldly blend our punk rock style with a golden age musical theater sound. This song was recorded at London Bridge Studio in Seattle with producer Jonathan Plum.
Life of a Reaper was selected as a winner for the 2021 American Theater Wing’s national Musical Theater Songwriting Competition . This opportunity allowed the song to be workshopped with mentors Jay Adana and Patrick Sulken, and professionally produced in New York; sung by various Broadway actors including Nic Rouleau (currently Elder Price in Book of Mormon) and T.Oliver Reid (currently Hermes in Hadestown).
Sonata for Brass Quintet is a 3 movement work premiered by this all star Brass Quintet featuring Caleb Brosnac, Jordan Ku, Yolanda Zheng, Austin Talbot and Jeremy Mojado. It was such a pleasure to work closely with this group and to hear their feedback and perspective.
The Starry Night is a musical theater ballad for a musical I am currently working on. The musical follows Johanna Bonger, who is Van Gogh's sister-in-law and the only reason his paintings are famous today.
